Paulo Bitencourt, Bossa Nova musicianPaulo Bitencourt
Welcome and thank you for visiting my website!
I saw the light of day in Brazil, but almost three decades ago I moved to Austria, Europe. In 1992, I passed the admission exam of the Vienna Conservatory to study opera singing, in which I graduated. With classical music, I performed in Austria, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Israel, Japan and the USA, and had a long-term contract also as an actor at the Vienna Burgtheater.
Yet, my greatest passion is the coolest of all music styles: the Bossa Nova, a mixture of samba and jazz that arose in Brazil in the late 1950s and in the 1960s became very popular in the whole world.
My enthusiasm for this music style makes me play not only at major events, but also at small and even private ones. No matter what type of events, big or small, public or private, I’ll bring Copacabana’s tropical flair to every place in which you need live music of good taste. Contact me.
This is what an Austrian newspaper wrote about one of my live performances.
